Orvieto - Civita di Bagnoreggio

Starting in your hotel, where you will meet your English speaking driver, a ride of approximately 1 hr in a beautiful countryside is waiting for you.
Your first stop will be the little town of Civita di Bagnoregio, also known as the "city that is dying".
Only few people left in one of the most well preserved medieval town connected to the ground by only a walking bridge that crosses the valley.
Walking in the little alleys, it s like making a big jump back in time. In a little winery is still possible to see an ancient stone mill that was operated by donkeys.
Here you can also see one of the several underground shelters used by the locals to escape to the Germans during World War II.
Once you are "tired" of this amazing town, the driver will take you to the most famous town in the area: Orvieto, with its underground Etruscan ruins, the famous "endless" St. Patrick Well, the beautiful 13th century cathedral and its little alleys where history and modern life mix up.
You will have plenty of time to discover the hidden corners of the town, where artisans still work "old style" and to enjoy one of the several little restaurants to taste the typical recipes and wines of the area.
Between the 2 stops, whenever is available, there is also the chance to stop in a local winery where you will see the vineyards and the wine cellar and, if you feel to be in the right mood, also to have a little wine tasting, just to make the day "smoother" than ever!
