Chasing Michelangelo and Bernini
Having met your driver in your hotel lobby, it's time to start this beautiful drive to discover the Eternal City through the masterpieces of Michelangelo and Bernini, two of the most famous artists of the Renaissance and the Baroque in Rome. Your tour will include outdoor sites such as Navona and Barberini squares, Julia Street, and the Farnese Palace. You will enter churches such as Santa Maria della Vittoria, where you can admire the famous Ecstasy of St. Teresa by Bernini and St. Mary of the Angels and Martyrs by Michelangelo. The alleys and narrow streets of the city center where the two "masters" were accustomed to walking, thinking, and designing new statues and architectural beauties will frame your day. Roman ruins and the artists' masterpieces appear to you in a whole new way thanks to the experience and courtesy of the guide that accompanies you. If you prefer, you can take a short break to experience the famous Roman mid-morning breakfast based on Pizza and Mortadella or perhaps an espresso.
